Tell the supplier whether the bag needs structure, softness, abrasion resistance, easy cleaning, water resistance, insulation or a premium hand feel. Material recommendations should answer those needs and the target market—not simply follow a reference photo.

Understand how materials affect MOQ
Stock fabrics and standard colors may support smaller programs. Custom dyeing, special coatings, exclusive hardware or printed lining can introduce supplier minimums. Ask which features drive the minimum and whether a stock alternative preserves the intended function.
Approve a physical reference
Digital color is not a reliable final standard. When color, texture or performance matters, approve swatches and keep the selected reference with the sample specification. Project-specific testing should be agreed for the target market and material claim.
